Behavioural strategies, lifestyle changes, mental-health treatment, investigations or specialist referral may also be considered.

Many parts of an assessment can be completed virtually. In-person assessment may be recommended when clinically appropriate.
What happens during the first appointment?
You will discuss your concerns, relevant history, symptoms and what additional assessment may be appropriate. A complete assessment is not guaranteed during the first visit.
Do I need previous records?
Bring or request relevant records if available, but you do not need to know every document required before booking.
Does an ADHD appointment guarantee medication?
No. Booking does not guarantee a diagnosis or prescription. Treatment decisions follow clinical assessment.
Is the appointment covered by Alberta Health?
Eligible insured medical appointments may be covered. Uninsured services, forms, reports or other non-covered services may involve a fee.
What if I need in-person assessment?
Your physician can recommend an Edmonton clinic visit, testing, urgent care or another appropriate next step.
